Group Mission Trips Resources
The site writer will partner with Group Mission Trips and the cosponsor team to write work descriptions for upcoming home repair Workcamps. The responsibilities of the site writer include, but are not limited to, the following:
Job Requirements
- Communicate clearly with all cosponsors and residents
- Complete site visits quickly and effectively, while being respectful, responsible, and precise
- Write accurate work descriptions, which include detailed notes of work to be completed, sketches and diagrams, accurate material lists, and other pertinent information
- Enter all typed notes and work descriptions into our online info system
- Take all necessary photos, including the front of home and work to be completed
- Input all notes and work descriptions into online info system and upload supplemental materials to SharePoint within seven days of your return from the site writing event
- Keep notes on each work description so clarifying questions can be answered
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Capable of working (walking, standing, sitting, etc.) for 10-14 hours per day
- Prepared to work busy days with an average of 5-6 hours of sleep per night
Compensation
This is a paid position, offering compensation to the site writing location which is determined to be Colorado minimum wage. Compensation during the event is paid on a per day basis at $200 per day of field work. Travel expenses are also covered in accordance with our company travel guidelines.
