The facility team member ensures the lodging facility is comfortable, clean, and safe for all participants. They work closely with the lodging facility staff. The responsibilities of the facility team member include but are not limited to the following:
Job Requirements
- Review all volunteer training resources provided prior to camp
- Build relationships with the lodging facility staff—learn their names, smile, and get to know them!
- Monitor trash and cleanliness of common areas during check-in, meal, and free times. Maintain cleanliness of restroom areas by restocking items throughout the day
- Follow the cleaning schedule provided by the office manager upon arrival at camp
- Commit to developing relationships with participants, Red Shirts, cosponsors, and members of the community
- Serve and support the office manager and camp director
- Attend nightly staff meetings
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Capable of working (walking, standing, sitting, etc.) for 10-14 hours per day
- Prepared to work busy camp days with an average of 5-6 hours of sleep per night
